Recognizing a Modern Master: The Life and Work of Deep Trivedi

It will not be wrong to say that Mr. Deep Trivedi is a genius, the type of genius that is born once in a century. History stands witness to the fact that there are many geniuses whose talent was only recognized later on, years after their work. It happens when a person is creating something that is too deep for a general or even elite audience. We see again and again that these great people often develop a set of devoted admirers who are able to recognize their value and their art, but are not accepted by general society easily. Ramakrishna Paramahansa was considered a madman before the world came to recognize his unbelievable spiritual genius.

Even among admirers, there are two types of people: those who are able to recognize the depth and purity and differentiate it from other similar creative pursuits, and others who, while they admire the person and their work, do not have a burning admiration that arises from loving and understanding something deeply. The type of admiration that can be called devotion.

Deep ji too seems to be in the same category. When we look at his book reviews, we can see there are admirers and devotees both.

Although Deep ji does something remarkable which might be a first in human history (there are many things he can be credited with as a first-doer). He takes extremely complicated and deep topics like destiny, time, the soul, and psychology and explains them in extremely simple terms. One look at other spiritual literature will reveal that nobody has explored these topics with so much depth, perhaps except only a few. His every work can be considered a separate masterpiece. For example, Psychology of War is the best book explaining the mechanism of war and can be considered a treatise on how to win a war. People who are interested in just this aspect of life will be greatly benefited from reading this book. Everything is Psychology develops an entirely new framework to look at this universe. It opens up entirely new possibilities for psychology, which till now is mainly concerned with understanding the human mind and brain. I am the Mind proposes a model that combines Western psychology with Eastern wisdom, covering everything from the unconscious mind to the soul. The Black Book of Soul is perhaps the easiest explanation of the soul anywhere (if you do not believe me, try reading Vedanta texts that explain the same thing in a much more complex way). And so on and on.

Apart from this, his life is also a teaching in itself. He has managed to write and produce such great quality of work while being successful in business. One can only guess his “speed of time” from the quantity and quality of his works. We all are indeed lucky that we are getting such transformative wisdom in such a transformative way (his words, both written and spoken, change us, even if we do not know it).
